Ambassadors

Here at The Little Sports Club, we’re proud to have various ambassadors who support our educational programmes. Our ambassadors keep up to date with all the work with our team and are always keen to get involved to make a difference in children’s lives! Our ambassadors include premier league winners, former tennis number ones and Olympic gold medallist.

Steven Caldwell, Football

Steven Caldwell is a retired Scottish footballer who played as a defender, predominantly as a centre back. Caldwell won 12 caps for the Scotland national team and has played over 300 league matches in his career, primarily in the top three tiers of English football. Teams included Newcastle United, Sunderland, Burnley, Birmingham City, Leeds United and more.

 

James Rodwell, Rugby

James Rodwell is an English professional rugby sevens player currently in the England Sevens squad.He is the most capped England sevens player of all time. He holds the record for consecutive world 7’s series tournaments with 69 in a row. He has played a total of 71 World Sevens Series tournaments.

 

Danielle Gibbons, Football

Danielle Gibbons is an English footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Liverpool Ladies in the FA Women’s Super League. Danielle has also represented England Ladies U19 in goal.

 

 

Jonathan Walker, Rugby

Jonathan Walker is a professional rugby league footballer who currently plays for the Bradford Bulls. He is by preference a Prop and has previously played for Castleford Tigers, Hull Kingston Rovers, Doncaster, London Broncos, Leigh Centurions and Scotland.

 

 

Molly Batrip, Football

Molly Bartrip is an English footballer who plays as a defender for Reading Ladies. Molly has also represented England Ladies from U16’s to U23’s.

 

 

Racheal Furness, Football

Rachel Furness  is an English-born Northern Irish footballer who plays for FA WSL club Reading Women and the Northern Ireland national team. A powerful central midfielder, she featured as a winger or striker earlier in her career. Furness’ ex-manager at Sunderland, Mick Mulhern, described her as “a strong and determined player.”
